SCALE 5X

I went to SCALE 5X this past weekend. I had a really great time. I saw many good talks, the one that I think was the best was probably the one about Open Source Licensing, by Chris DiBona from Google.

I also got to meet and have lunch with the PR guy from the team that organizes SCALE, which was pretty cool. Hopefully I’ll get to say hi next year.

I also saw quite a few of the Gentoo devs, but I didn’t really say hello. I got kinda shy. I was meaning to ask Christel how her last name is pronounced too, and thank her for her work with Freenode.

Oh well, it was still great, and I hope to be able to go again next year.

GNU Autotools

To anyone that wants free autotooling (autoconf, automake, etc) of their project, or help doing so: please ask! I’ve spent quite a bit of time learning how to do it, and now I’m decent. I’m probably not the best there is: I don’t have that much experience yet. However, I’m willing to do it for you!

I know I had a lot of trouble figuring out the autotools in the past, and I figure that other people have had the same problems. Now that I know how to do it, please let me help you!

I can do cross-compiling, multiple os support, autodetection of compiler, linker, etc, and LOTS more amazing things.
