Colorado Dragon Boat Festival

I went to the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival this weekend. It was pretty fun, especially trying all of the different Asian foods that were being sold. I tried some Yakisoba (which wasn’t Yakisoba, they didn’t use soba noodles…), and some Thai Beef, as well as Monkey Balls, which are really deep fried pork meatballs. I tried some other grilled meats as well, and all of them were pretty good.

My friend Wendy (from work) was racing for CAA (the Chinese-American Association) in the Dragon boats. They won the first race, but lost their second because they could not grab the flag, even though they were more than 2 seconds in the lead. It really sucked for them.

Anyway, if you’re in Denver around this time next year, I definitely recommend attending the Dragon Boat Festival!

Back in Colorado, again

Hello everyone, I’m back! Well, almost. I’m back in Colorado, and back to work again.

For the past few weeks I’ve been poor. Really, really poor. I’ve been living for a week on what I spent in a day in Europe. This has mostly been because I spent all my money in Europe. But I’ve been doing really well. I really didn’t need to borrow as much canned food as I did, but it has helped. I’ve been able to buy plenty of fruit and vegetables to keep me nice and healthy.

I’ve been back in the gym at work, but I can’t motivate myself to get there every day. Real life (outside work) and having to cook and do all the chores for myself keeps me pretty tired. And work is keeping me pretty busy too. We’re in a bit of a crunch right now, but I think things will slow down eventually. I’ve also been doing a LOT of work on Tilda, my main open source project.

I’ll get paid this week, which means that my money issues will be over, at least for the time being. I can’t wait to go out to lunch with all of my friends at work on Friday.

Ok, I’m good and tired (yet again) so I’m out.

Back from Europe

Well, the Epic Beer Tour of Europe was a complete success. We ended up trying 52 different beers throughout the trip. Some were good, some were terrible, and most were at least drinkable. I’ll have the travel log, complete with the reviews of all of the beers up eventually. I’d like to at least prettify it a little bit first. Of course, that could take a while.

I’m heading back to Colorado now, to get back to work. I’m totally broke right now 🙂

I’ve put up the pictures from the trip in my gallery. I don’t have the movies in there yet due to lack of webserver space.
