Strange Dream

I had a quite unique dream last night involving the Crow twins, Tux the penguin, and some late-night hiking.

Basically, I was over at their place, chatting with one of them (name deleted for her privacy) just like we were old friends. Sometime while doing so, I fell asleep. I was awoken later by some guy, and all three of us walked down the hall towards the kitchen. Along the way, we saw the other girl (again, name deleted) getting nasty with another guy. Then we all went out hiking at like 3 AM. I definitely remember Tux being in there somewhere around the time I was waking up, but I can’t remember his role very clearly.

Very strange if you ask me, especially since I haven’t seen the twins since high school or so. Any comments on what you think this whole thing means are welcome 🙂

Hug

Mmmm, she’s so cute. I just want to give her a hug when she looks so depressed. My new laptop is named after her…

Aviation Madness

Well, this is interesting. Apparently, we can’t bring books or magazines onto planes anymore, we might use the paper to … light a small fire? Wait, no lighters or matches either. Maybe if I clamp my teeth together quickly enough, I’ll be able to make sparks…

Also, no liquids, not even soda or water are now allowed on flights. WTF?

Here’s the announcement from the TSA —– Canada is also doing it. Here’s a short excerpt:

NO LIQUIDS OR GELS OF ANY KIND WILL BE PERMITTED IN CARRY-ON BAGGAGE. ITEMS MUST BE IN CHECKED BAGGAGE. This includes all beverages, shampoo, suntan lotion, creams, tooth paste, hair gel, and other items of similar consistency.

Wow is the only thing I can say. Just … wow. The terrorists have already won with stuff like this going on.

Dude! I’ve got a Dell!

LOL, but yeah, I do have a Dell now. It’s a Dell e1505 laptop. Core Duo CPU at 1.83 GHz, 1 gig of RAM, DVD burner, GPS, upgraded screen, dual batteries. It’s really nice.

I’m working on setting up a triple boot at the moment, between Ubuntu Linux, Gentoo Linux, and MS Windows XP. This is the first post from Gentoo, where I’ll be spending most of my time, for sure.

Battery life is excellent, over 6 hours if I’m careful. With the second battery, that’s sure to last me ALL FREAKING DAY. I can’t wait 🙂 :shudders: Oh, the possibilities!
