Arcadia + Games

Well, yesterday was the Arcadia Tournament of Bands. I went and saw the field shows at night. El Dorado’s band took 1st place (not sweepstakes unfortunately), but they still did really well.

I saw some people I knew up in the stands, and even had the great pleasure of meeting Amy Welch and Jessica Wendel at Subway when I was getting dinner. It really was pretty nice.

Oh, and I’ve got my copy of HL2 here at the dorms now, and a nice big bag of the Genmai-cha tea that I like.

Life couldn’t get much better than this!

HL2 is out!

Well, the long awaited Half-Life 2 is now out. And I still haven’t played it, since steam won’t let me download the game even though I own it. (I got the cd’s shipped to my house, but I don’t wanna go home to pick them up in order to play) So it sucks, but I’ll be playing in a few hours anyway 😉

And it’s second midterms tomorrow too. Back to back even. 😮

Torvalds is _THE_ man

If Darl McBride was in charge, he’d probably make marriage unconstitutional too, since clearly it de-emphasizes the commercial nature of normal human interaction, and probably is a major impediment to the commercial growth of prostitution. – Linus Torvalds

That’s just wonderful.

And for reference, Torvalds is the originator of the Linux kernel, and McBride is the CEO of SCO, a Unix vendor who’s been making some interesting claims.

Cute Girl and Other Interesting Stuff

Well, yesterday while I was at the commons here at school, I saw the cutest girl I’ve seen in years. She was eating alone at one of the other tables. Too bad I have no way to even know who she is in the slightest bit. 🙁

Other interesting things that I found today:
China has WAY better stuff than us here in the USA. You really should read this, some of this stuff is just freaking awesome.
Some ass doesn’t have any sense. He’s trying to say that some people that robbed a house while wearing SWAT-like uniforms were trying to dress like players from Counter-Strike. So now they’ll even take that game away. Grrr…

Now off to Physics class once again!
